It has a garden tours and a garden gallery that groups great landscape pictures into logical categories like, front yards, back yards, raised planters, fences, gates, dry creek beds, patios, boulders and much more. And these pictures are hot linked to the plants that compose them!

Plants: The program comes with a built in plant database of over 550 water efficient plants researched and reviewed by water district horticulturists and edited by desert writer Mary Irish. You can look up plants from problem solving lists, look them up by name or perform a search by answering a brief number of easy to answer questions. Print out a list of plants you like and run off to the nursery for purchases .

Book on CD: The software contains a robust information section for helping you with just about any landscape situation. Find out about the landscaping in a desert environment, mulching, weed control, grouping plants by water and sun needs, irrigation issues, landscape care, landscape reference sources and much much more.

Overview: Lush and Efficient Landscape Gardening in the Coachella Valley is a project sponsored by Coachella Valley Water District. This program is an extension of the much loved Lush and Efficient book. It has a wealth of pictures and information to help the homeowner improve their landscape in a water efficient way.
